Hiroshi Fukuda:

HEAD CHEF

Hiro was taught Japanese cooking by the best role model - his Mum.

From the age of 6, Hiro would patientily wash the rice for her, and quietly witness her cooking methods. She was a chef in the Mt Nasu skiing resort,  so her mix of professional and domestic Japanese cooking provided a rich landscape for Hiroshi to refine his cooking  skills. After a few seasons of teaching snowboarding at the same  Mt Nasu ski resort, and then moving to  Australia, Hiroshi realised his passion after all those years of observing and  assisting his mother.

Hiroshi's patience in the kitchen and on-site preparations are unique. Some clients remark that they can 'taste his love for cooking' in his flavours.

Also a visual artist, Hiroshi loves to 'paint' with food, so his platters of unique courses are stand alones, and often 'one off' aethetics.

Colin Schumacher:

GENERAL MANAGER

Colin and Hiro created HiroFood Japanese Catering in 2010, and now presents 21 Japanese courses with some fusion-food, in locations across  Australia and Asia. Only autherntic  Japanese ingredients and preparations are used, and always freshly on the day of the catering event. Plus a staff who love to serve and assist at every moment.
